Bucks County is one of the three original counties created by William Penn with the creation of Pennsylvania. William Penn named Bucks county after his home county Buckinghamshire in England. Bucks County has an estimated population of about 625,000 residents living within its boundaries as of the 2010 census. This makes Bucks County the 4th most populated county in Pennsylvania.
